Gnosis Wellness Collective is based in Charleston, South Carolina. I offer online counseling to adults (18+) and couples who are physically located in South Carolina at the time of session. Walk-and-talk sessions may be available in the Charleston area when clinically appropriate.
- 02
I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship and attachment concerns, life transitions, identity shifts, self-worth struggles, and the impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences. You do not have to label your story as “trauma” to work with me.
- 03
I offer integrative, trauma-informed therapy that blends talk-based and somatic-informed approaches. We explore how your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and body cues are connected, and use CBT, mindfulness, and somatic-informed tools to support flexibility, regulation, and more choice over time. Our work is collaborative, paced with you, and grounded in consent.

I am a private-pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, if you have a PPO or another plan with out-of-network (OON) benefits, you may be able to get partial reimbursement for our sessions after you meet your deductible.
In most cases, the process looks like this:
You pay my full fee at the time of session.
Either you or Thrizer (see below) submits a claim to your insurance.
If your plan includes OON coverage, your insurance may send you reimbursement directly.
Because every plan is different, I always recommend calling your insurance provider and asking:
“Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?”
“What is my deductible, and how much of it have I met?”
“What percentage of the session fee will you reimburse for CPT code 90834 (50-minute individual therapy) with an out-of-network provider?”
What is Thrizer, and how can it help with out-of-network benefits?
To make using out-of-network benefits easier, I partner with Thrizer, a secure platform designed specifically for OON reimbursement.
With Thrizer, you can:
Check your benefits up front to see if you have out-of-network coverage and what your estimated reimbursement might be.
Skip superbills and claim forms: Thrizer submits claims to your insurance for you.
In some cases, pay only your estimated out-of-pocket portion at the time of session, while Thrizer waits for the reimbursement from your insurance.
Using Thrizer is optional. If you prefer, you can pay my full fee at the time of session and use a traditional superbill to file claims yourself.
Can I still work with you if I don’t have out-of-network benefits?
Yes. Clients see me without using insurance. In that case:
You simply pay my full fee at the time of each session.
You may be able to use HSA or FSA funds if your plan allows mental health services.
We can also talk about frequency of sessions and what feels sustainable for you, so therapy is supportive and doable, not another stressor.
Important note about Thrizer and financial arrangements
Thrizer is a separate, third-party service. Any financial arrangements you make with Thrizer, including their platform fees, payment plans, or how and when they collect from you, are solely between you and Thrizer (and your insurance company).
My role is limited to:
Setting my session fee and communicating it clearly
Providing accurate documentation for sessions
Receiving payment for services rendered
I do not control Thrizer’s policies, timelines, or reimbursement decisions, and I’m not responsible for any disputes, delays, or denials related to Thrizer or your insurance plan. You are always welcome to opt out of Thrizer and instead pay my full fee and submit claims yourself using a superbill.

Stephanie's services are limited to psychotherapy for South Carolina residents. Coaching at Gnōsis is provided by other qualified coaches, not by me in my LPC-A role. Coaching is growth-focused, not mental health treatment, and may be available to clients outside South Carolina. We keep therapy and coaching clearly separate to protect your care and my ethical scope.

No. I am not able to offer 24/7 or emergency services. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others, please call 988, 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or use your local crisis resources.

Yes. I provide secure telehealth sessions for adults and couples located in South Carolina. Sessions are held over a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a link before each appointment and can join from a private, quiet space using a phone, tablet, or computer. Telehealth can be a good fit if you need flexibility, live outside Charleston, or prefer care from home.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy? For many concerns—such as anxiety, stress, relationship issues, trauma recovery, and life transitions—telehealth can be as effective as in-person therapy when you have a private, reliable space and connection. If at any point telehealth doesn’t feel like the best fit, we’ll talk about options together.

Counseling services follow HIPAA and professional ethical guidelines. Your information and records are stored securely, and only authorized providers involved in your care have access. I will not share your information without your written consent, except when required by law (for example, serious risk of harm to self or others, or abuse/neglect concerns).
What should I know about privacy with telehealth sessions? I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and conduct sessions in a private space. You’re responsible for choosing a location where you cannot be overheard and using your own devices or trusted networks when possible. We’ll review telehealth informed consent together so you know how your information is protected and what the limits of confidentiality are.

Gnōsis does not provide or prescribe any substances, and we do not offer psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Some people independently choose to pursue psychedelic or “medicine” experiences through medical settings, research programs, clinical trials or retreats where these practices are legal and regulated. When that happens, therapy may play an important role in helping them make sense of what came up.
My role as a therapist is limited to preparation and integration, which means:
Supporting you in meaning-making around your experience (emotions, memories, insights, and questions that surfaced).
Helping you track and regulate your nervous system, especially if things feel intense, confusing, or destabilizing afterward.
Exploring how any insights fit (or don’t fit) with your values, relationships, and long-term wellbeing.
I do not:
Provide, recommend, or prescribe psychedelic substances.
Give medical advice or tell you what you “should” take, where to go, or how to dose.
Encourage illegal or unsafe use.
Preparation and integration work focuses on psychological support, safety, and meaning-making within the same ethical boundaries as any other therapy I provide.
