Why Yoga & Breathwork?
We offer yoga, breathwork, non-sleep deep rest (NSDR / yoga nidra), and guided meditation as steady, accessible practices that support mental health and nervous system regulation. Gentle movement helps unwind tension and rebuild trust with your body. Intentional breathing and meditation offer direct ways to settle an overworked stress response. NSDR creates pockets of deep restoration when life, caregiving, or leadership leave very little room to recharge.
What These Practices Support
We don't view these as “wellness tasks.” Rather, they’re ways of relating to yourself, and building resources, especially when you’re stressed, stretched thin, or living in go-mode.

There is no pressure to “do it right.” We focus on what helps you come back to yourself, steadily, sustainably, and with respect for what your body can handle today.
At Gnōsis, holistic care means building a relationship with these practices that’s sustainable, evidence-informed, and grounded in the realities of your life in Charleston and beyond.

What Sessions Feel Like
These services can be:
-
woven into coaching and wellness programs
-
booked on their own for individuals, groups, and organizations
-
done online/virtually, so you can access support from wherever you are
Sometimes it’s a few minutes between meetings, or a reset before you walk into a chaotic situation. A short practice before bed. Over time, these rituals become part of how you meet your day, more present, more resourced, more able to respond instead of react.
Common Questions
01.
Do I need to be “good at yoga” to do this?
No. These sessions aren’t about performance, flexibility, or getting it right. We’ll work with what your body can do today and keep it nervous-system friendly.
03.
What’s NSDR / yoga nidra?
NSDR (non-sleep deep rest), often called yoga nidra, is a guided practice that helps your system downshift into deep restoration, especially helpful when you’re stressed, overextended, or struggling to truly rest.
05.
Do you offer group sessions for organizations or teams?
Yes. We offer group options for workplaces, teams, and community groups. Reach out, and we’ll shape it to your goals (stress regulation, recovery, focus, resilience).
02.
Is this therapy?
No. Yoga, breathwork, meditation, and NSDR are wellness practices, not psychotherapy. They can support mental health and regulation, but they’re not a diagnosis or clinical treatment. If you’re looking for therapy, head to the Counseling page.
04.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. You can book virtual yoga, meditation, and NSDR so you can access support from wherever you are.
06.
What if I’m anxious or can’t “shut my mind off”?
It's actually a common experience. In fact, we do not try to shove thoughts out of our minds. So, you don’t have to be calm to start. We use simple practices that meet your system where it is, and we’ll adjust pacing and options so you feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
